Joan Johnson Obituary
JOHNSON, JOAN (BETTIS) 67 - of Egg Harbor Township, died, Sunday, October 19, 2008, at home surrounded by her family. Joan was born in Atlantic City on August 2, 1941, to the late Minnie Bettis Thomas. She attended Pleasantville Public Schools and was employed as a Certified Nurse's Aide at Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield for more than 27 years. Joan's joy of life was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, shopping and just enjoying life. Mrs. Johnson is predeceased by: her mother; brother, Arthur Thomas; and her beloved son, Steve. Joan is survived by: children, Frederick, Wayne and Darin Johnson, Wanda Harris and her husband, Michael, and Kim Nelson and her husband, Brian; siblings; James Bettis, Delores Arrington, Brenda Wallop, Eleanor King and her husband, Bob, Berta Mae Mason, and Joe Thomas; her loving grandchildren; countless in-laws; and a host of other family and friends. She will be especially missed by, grandson Vincent Corey Glover. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday, October 24, 2008, at Faith Baptist Church, 829 Tilton Road, Pleasantville. The internment will immediately follow the services in the Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville. Arrangements entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Homes, Inc., Atlantic City.
