Gewil Fuqua Obituary
FUQUA, GEWIL F., 28 - of Egg Harbor Township, left us suddenly on October 24, 2008. Gewil was born May 4, 1980 to the late William H. and Cynthia Barron Fuqua in San Diego, CA. Gewil moved to New Jersey as a teenager to live with his aunt, Anita. He attended Egg Harbor Township High School. He enjoyed driving trucks and worked as a truck driver for several companies in the area. Gewil was a great practical joker and the life of the party. He had a larger than life personality and lived outside of the box. Gewil took fatherhood very seriously and was a protector to his family. He loved driving his children around in his Yukon while they watched movies. His children were with him everyday either swimming, fishing or just chilling. Gewil was predeceased by: his parents and grandfather, William Fuqua. Missing him are: grandmother, Gertrude Fuqua-Osman, with whom he lived; aunts, Anita Walker and Zameenah Fuqua-Watson (Mark); brothers, Isiah Fuqua (Michele) and Shaun Shaw of California; uncles, Jamal and Jermain Fuqua; special brothers Quan Lindsay and James Walker; nephew, Reggie Watson; sons, Elijah, Damian and Jeremiah; daughters, Jad Lyssa, Josalynn, Lillian, Armoni, Zaniyah and Zanajah; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be 10 AM, Saturday, November 1, 2008, in the All Wars' Memorial Building, New York & Adriatic Avenues, Atlantic City, where friends may call from 9 AM. Interment to follow in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville. Arrangements entrusted to Greenidge Funeral Homes, Inc., Atlantic City. Donations may be made to Bank of America, account # 3810 1738 7697 in care of Anita Walker.

Hi Mr. Fuqua! This is your daughter in law Nakia. I´m pretty sure you know about me lol I wish I could´ve met you. I hear so many stories and great memories about you and how good of a father you were. You have a grandson on the way that is due any day now. Even though you are not here physically but I know you are here spiritually. You are still so loved by your children and so many others. Your grandson will definitely know about you we miss and love you so much.

Hey daddy, you know i miss you. Me and niyah are going to be 15 next month can you believe that. A lot has been going on i'm pretty sure you know. i just wish were here you know its hard not have a dad, but eli was always there so. your going to 41 in may lol your not old. i just wish that i got to know you. Miss you dearly. The other day I was driving to work and just broke down as you just came across my mind as if I just saw you walking down the street. You were in my prayers as i said prayer last night for thanksgiving. Just wishing you was here for that moment. Moms made lots of food you would have ate that plate like no other. LOL. I remember when this guy backed into the Yukon. "G" freaked out! LOL We were outside for like 3 hours in the cold boxing after the cops lefted. Thats just one of the times I remember we had so much fun. "G" everytime I look at your children I think of you. Niyah and Najah are only 2yrs they don't understand yet. When they see the Yukon or even hear loud music outside they look for you. How do you tell a 2yr old thier father is gone. A lot of people are still in shock. I pray for ur children you left behind and the only parent they have left, thier mothers I also pray that you found your peace. You will remain in my thoughts and my heart. Im going to be the old lady telling all your kids about the good times you had.lol Our last conversation was the night before. You was like whos this I started singing my song "Ima Ima muslim..." insider. You was like HAHAHA whats up Alease, then we begain to beat down. I will miss you. "THE FUQUA DYNASTY" 9 STRONG!
