Dorothy Belser Obituary

BELSER, DOROTHY P., (NEE PENNEY) 92 - of New having died on Thursday, October 23, 2008 peacefully at her home with her children by her side. She was born in New York City, NY, and was a longtime resident of Southern New Jersey until the mid 1970's. For a short time during the 1970's, Mrs. Belser lived in Carmel Valley, CA before returning in the1980's to New Brunswick, where she has lived the past 30 years. While living in California, Mrs. Belser worked as housekeeper-companion for several different families. Upon her return to New Jersey, she worked for Fischer Florist in Linwood. Mrs. Belser was extremely proud to have run Fischer Florist's awarding winning booth at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Mrs. Belser was a member of the Daughters of America Revolution, Absegami Chapter of the NJDAR, where she served as the Regent. Mrs. Belser was also a member of the Daughters of Colonial Wars. Mrs. Belser was predeceased by her parents Leonard and Miami (Tooker) Penney and her husband Richard (1990). She is survived by her children William E. Wegner, Richard, Nancy and Robert Belser; her grandchildren Jessica and Bryan Belser and David and Laura Wenger, her great grandson Samuel and her sister Betty Rosi, of Somerset. Funeral services were private under the direction of the Crabiel Parkwest Funeral Chapel, 239 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ. A memorial Reunion will be held at a later date in memory of Mrs. Belser.

To the Belser Family - I worked with Nancy at Permacel for many years and knew Mrs. Belser as a very special person. After moving to CT we lost touch with Nancy but always remember that you are very special to our family. Our prayers are with your family in this time of need.
