JOHNSON, LAURA 95 - of Dayton, formerly of Ocean City, and resident of Dayton for many years entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the Miami Valley Hospital. Mrs. Johnson affectionately known to family and friends as "Big Mom", was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Edward Johnson. She was born on April 27, 1913 in Farnham, VA., to the late Mr. John Robert, Sr., and Ms. Martha Veney. She was a longtime dedicated member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Ocean City, NJ. She later attended the Valley Peace Missionary Baptist Church in Dayton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 11:00 A.M., Valley Peace Missionary Baptist Church 4201 Hillcrest Ave., Rev. Jackie Robinson, Pastor, officiating. Visitation 9:30 A.M., at the church until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. An additional services in celebration of Mrs. Johnson's life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 10:00 A.M., at the Shiloh Baptist Church 7th & Simpson Ave., Ocean City, NJ., Rev. John Winters officiating. Visitation from 9:00 A.M., to 10:00 A.M. Internment Seaside Cemetery. Condolences maybe sent to Shiloh Baptist Church 7th & Simpson Ave., Ocean City, NJ 08226.
