Mike March Obituary

MARCH, MIKE (MARGULIES) 88 - of Somers Point, passed away on October 28, 2008. Loved by many as "Daddy Mike", was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. Mike served in the US Army as a medic during WWII. He was stationed in Panama where he married the late Patricia Davis. After his service, he returned to Phila, where he worked as a supervisor at Nat'l Drug Co. In 1962 he formed March Inc, a window and door mfg company and retired in 1992. After his wife's death, he moved to Harleysville, PA with his daughter. He was a member of the Harleysville Sr Center for ten years until the family moved to Somers Point. Mike helped create "Daddy Mike's Market, in Ocean City and worked until the business was sold. He was a member of the Howard Stainton Sr Ctr where he earned several awards and recognitions for his endless service. Mike loved playing cards and was a huge Philly sports fan, especially, his Phillies. Survived by his daughter Gail E. Pendleton, son-in-law, Doug, grandchildren Michael and Valerie, five great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call at St Joseph's, Shore Rd., Somers Point 9:30am, Memorial Mass at 11am. Burial private. Donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 172 Rt 50, Seaville, NJ 08230. Arrangements made by Godfrey's Funeral Home, Ocean City.

Dear Gail & Doug and Family,
We were so sorry to hear of Daddy Mike going to heaven to party there. We are sure that he is extremely happy that his Philles made World Champions! He will be missed by many and will always be in our hearts.

oooohhh Daddy Mike, your suffering is finally over, no more pain, no more pills, no more treatments. You are now in God's home with our sisters. Gail and I hope you party hardy with them!!!
You will be so missed by everyone, as you left a loving lasting memory in everyones hearts.
