Robert Bachand Obituary

BACHAND, ROBERT E., 78 - of Absecon, Bachand, passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2008. Bob was born in Uxbridge, Massachusetts where he graduated from high school. In 1950 he joined the United States Air Force where he became a radar operator and served in Korea. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, he worked for the FAA, retiring after 38 years of service. Bob is predeceased by his brother Leo of Shallotte, NC. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorraine and his daughter Sharon Weeks of Seaville and her husband David, two beautiful granddaughters, Rachel and Kaitlyn, Sister Doris Chappell and her husband Joseph of Milford, Massachusetts, brother James Bachand and his wife Alice of Stafford, Virginia, sister-in-law Ethel of North Carolina, along with many loving nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2008 from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M., at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E. Great Creek Road, Galloway, NJ 08205, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon, NJ 08201. Donations in memory of Mr. Bachand can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 E.
