Catherine Arseneault Obituary



ARSENEAULT, CATHERINE M., (TOY) - of Northfield, died on Friday, 11/07/08 after a short illness. Born in Atlantic City, Mrs. Arseneault was a Special Investigator with the Enforcement Bureau, Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs for the State of NJ for over 18 years. A resident of Northfield for the past 26 years, Mrs. Arseneault was a member of the State Board of the March of Dimes in NJ since its inception in 1937 until 1960. She served as a den mother for Cub Scouts and was active for many years in the PTA of Our Lady Star of the Sea School in Atlantic City. She was a member of the League of Women Voters, an Air Raid Warden during WW II, and a graduate of Holy Spirit HS Class of 1937. Most recently Catherine has spent many hours as a volunteer for Our Lady's Residence in Pleasantville. Mrs. Arseneault is survived by one son John L. Toy, Jr. of Lantana, FL, two daughters Kathleen M. (Dominic) Rodi and Ann Marie (Stephen) Kooperman both of Ventnor, and former daughter-in-law Gail A. Toy of Atlantic City and six grandchildren: Cheryl Mayerick of Atlanta, GA, Donna M. Poley of Absecon, Steven E. Toy of Brigantine, Christine L. Woods of Hammonton, Kelly L. Kooperman of EHT and Daniel W. Kooperman of Ventnor and 6 great grandchildren, Daniel, Taylor, Abigail, Kelsey, Benjamin and Vincent. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Catherine's Life Celebration and viewing on Monday, November 10, from 7 to 9 PM at Jeffries & Keates Funeral Home, Tilton Rd. & Infield Ave, Northfield, and again Tuesday, November 11, from 10 to 11 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Linwood. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing. The family requests donations be made to Our Lady's Residence, 1100 Clematis Ave., Pleasantville, NJ 08232

John, Kathleen and Anne Marie,
My sincerest condolences on the death of your mother. It's been a few decades since she was my Cub Scout Den Mother, but she was a kind, graceful and caring person. She even forgave me for once falling through her glass-top coffee table.
