Thomas Bowen Obituary



BOWEN, THOMAS LOUIS 60 - of Palmetto, FL, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at his home in Palemtto, Florida. Born in Somers Point, he was the beloved husband of Dorothy Bowen (Seymour) formerly of Green Island, New York and Son of Carolyn (Raincsuk) Lunnon of Pleasantville and the late Albert Bowen. Tom was a decorated Vietnam veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #623 in Atlantic County. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW Post #9226 in Ellenton, Florida. He is survived by his sons, Timothy (Jeanette) Bowen of Williamstown and Thomas Bowen-Ballard of Somers Point, stepfather to Christine Joslin, Tracey (Lewis) Cerone, Danielle Reedy, and Deborah VanAmerongen all of Upstate New York, brother of Albert (Linda) Bowen of Egg Harbor Twp and Susan (Larry) Hudson of Mays Landing. Also survived by eight grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, and cousin. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at 4pm at Grace Lutheran Church at 11 East Dawes Avenue in Somers Point, 08244. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Disabled American Veterans.
