James Wilkins Obituary



WILKINS, JAMES E., "Wilks", 53 - of Galloway formerly of Brigantine, passed away Wednesday November 21, 2007 surrounded by his family. Jim was born in Atlantic City and raised in Brigantine before moving to Galloway 18 years ago. He was employed by Kline Construction Company for over 35 years. Jim was a member of Laborers Local 172 and a Shop Steward for Kline Construction. He also tended bar at St. Georges Pub in Brigantine for 17 years. Jim enjoyed working in his yard and relaxing by the pool. Jim is survived by his daughters Joellene and her husband Sam, Jennell and Justina. He is also survived by his brothers Joe, Guy and his wife Lee and Eddie, his sisters Jackie and Joan, along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by parents Joseph E. and Jesse and his sisters Janine and Jeanette. Relatives and friends are invited to attend "Wilks" Life Celebration and viewing Monday Evening 6 to 9PM and Tuesday 9:30 to 10:30AM at the Keates-Plum Funeral Home, 3112 Brigantine Ave., Brigantine. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 11AM at St. Thomas Church, Brigantine. Interment is private. The family requests Memorial Contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill NJ 08034. www.jeffriesandkeates.com.

My old friend was a good man. We played football(Rams) & basketball(St. Thomas CYO). Worked for Mogosin in many interesting ventures. We were room mates on West Shore Drive, Lifeguarded together and had many laughs. I'll pray he's in heaven with mom, dad and sisters.
