Cecelia A. Gedicke

GEDICKE, CECELIA A., 93 - of Linwood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Cecelia was born October 29, 1914 in Atlantic City, and lived tha majority of her life in Atlantic County, having resided in Atlantic City, Pleasantville, and Cardiff. Besides being a homemaker, she worked as a waitress at various restaurants and also as a hairdresser in area beauty salons. She was predeceased by her loving husband, George, who passed away in September of 2001. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and in recent years her special joy were her grandchildren, who affectionately named her "G". She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Georgeann Edwards and husband Walter of Linwood; her son, Dennis Gedicke and his wife Sharon of Absecon; four grandchildren, Kelly Batz (Greg), Laurie Sullivan (Walter), Brian Edwards, and Jennifer Gedicke. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Brandon and Riley Batz, Kaitlyn and Amber Sullivan, and her step grandchildren, Albert Zeising, Kim Parker (Bob), Jeff Seising (Marge), and her step great- grandchildren, Tori, Zachary, and Katherine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrow R.C. Church, Wabash Ave. in Linwood with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing. Friends may visit on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the Church. Donations in her memory may be made to the Church. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsels Funeral Home in Absecon.
