CALLAHAN, RITA A., 92 - of Brigantine, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA died Friday, December 7, 2007 at her home. She had been a Brigantine homeowner since September 1958, permanent resident since September 1978. Rita was a children's wear buyer at Gimbels in Philadelphia, Infants to teen buyer at Oppenheim-Collins, Philadelphia, and the Brigantine Candy Lady, February 1979 - August 1993. Rita is predeceased by Frank Callahan, advertising Executive, and is survived by thee children, Rita Anne, New York City, Daniel Richard, Atlanta, GA and Michael Joseph of Brigantine. Relatives and friends are invited to attended Rita's Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 11, 9:00 AM at St. Thomas at the Apostle Catholic Church, Brigantine. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, Rita has requested that we pay homage and pray to the Sacred Heart.
