Rose Smith Obituary

SMITH, ROSE H., 83 - of Ocean City, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at her home. She was the widow of L. Vernon Smith, who died in 1977. She served in the military during World War II. She was a realtor in Ocean City, for many years. Prior to that she lived in West Chester, PA. Rose is survived by a son, Ronald V. Smith of West Chester, PA; a daughter, Sandra Smith of Maryville, TN.; four grandchildren; and a brother, William Hobiak of Sierra Madre, Calif. She was predeceased by her loving companion of many years, Robert W. Grant Jr. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, at St. Peter's United Methodist Church, 501 E. 8th Street, Ocean City, where friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 14, at Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 4949 Ogletown Stanton Road, Suite 107, Newark, DE 19713. Arrangements are being handled by Founds Funeral Home, Inc., West Chester, (610) 696-0134. Online condolences may be made at www.foundsfuneralhome.com.
