Evelyn M. Todd

TODD, EVELYN M., 101 - of Rydal Park, PA, and a longtime summer resident of Cape May passed away peacefully Monday, December 10, 2007. Evelyn was a graduate of Frankford High School's Class of 1924. After graduating, she worked for Sears and Roebuck until 1930. While at Sears and Roebuck she met her husband Brice Todd and was married for 59 years until his passing in 1986. During their marriage they resided in Southampton, PA and Stuart, FL. As a child and all throughout her life Evelyn loved the ocean at Wildwood Crest and Cape May. She anticipated and very much enjoyed her 100th Birthday Celebration with her friends, children and many grandchildren. She was an avid sewer, knitter and crocheter. She was a member of the Cape Island Baptist Church in Cape May. Mrs. Todd is survived by her daughter, Evelyn (and John) Belz of Cold Spring; four sons, Brice (and JoEllen) Todd of LaConner, WA, Peter (and Sandy) Todd of Shallotte, NC, Stephen (and Charlotte) Todd of Cape May, David (and Barbara) Todd of Cape May. Also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, December 22nd in the Sudak-Danaher Funeral Home, 815 Washington St., Cape May where friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery, Lower Township. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Rydal Park Friendship Fund, 1515 The Fairway, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
