Christine Mottesheard Obituary
She was born in Roanoke, Va., the daughter of the late Samuel A. and Lula Woolridge Parker.
Mrs. Mottesheard was a member of the First Christian Church, Hopewell, and was retired from Peebles Department Store after approximately 30 years of service. She loved spending time at the cottage, and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Mottesheard is survived by a loving husband, Harold E. Mottesheard; three daughters, Elaine Lippencott and husband, Donald, of Fieldale, Va.; Carrie Branch and husband, Bill, of Hopewell, and Diana Wray and husband, John, of Enon, Va.; a stepdaughter, Vickie Bubnich and husband, Bob, of Fort Collins, Colo.; nine grandchildren, Bryon Lippencott, Christopher Lippencott, Chad Branch, Letitia Lippencott, Todd Branch, Jared Wray, Raven Wray, Bob Bubnich, and Joey Bubnich; and two greatgrandchildren, Rebecca Branch and McKenzie Lippencott.
The family will receive friends at the Hopewell chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008. Funeral services will follow there in the chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with interment in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
Flowers are welcome, or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimers Association. Condolences to the family may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com

WHAT A WONDERFUL LADY SHE WAS ALWAYS KIND AND CURTEOUS TO EVERYONE WHOM CAME TO PEEBLES.
AS A YOUNG CHILD MY FAMILY DID A LOT OF SHOPPING THERE FOR SCHOOL CLOTHES AND I DO REMEMBER HER DEARLY. DEEPEST REGRETS

She is finally at peace and no longer has any pain. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. She has touched the lives of everyone in her family in one way or another and there will always be great memories of this great woman.
