WHEN I AM GONE AWAY
WHEN I AM GONE AWAY

WHEN THE DAY MUST COME
THAT I MUST GO,
AND LEAVE THIS WORLD BEHIND
REMEMBER ME WHEN FLOWERS BLOOM
I WILL NOT BE FAR BEHIND.

REMEMBER ALL THE GOOD TIMES
WE SHARED THROUGHOUT THIS LIFE
REMEMBER ALL THE LOVE WE SHARED
AND HOW WE AVOIDED ALL THE STRIFE.

REMEMBER ALL THE HAPPY DAYS
WHEN OUR HEARTS WAS FULL OF GLEE,
REMEMBER ALL THE PROMISES WE MADE
THAT WOULD BE FOREVER FREE.

REMEMBER HOW MUCH I LOVED YOU
AND THE GOOD TIMES WE DID SHARE,
REMEMBER ALL THE TEARS YOU DRIED
WHEN MY BURDENS I COULD NOT BARE.

AND REMEMBER I AM WITH JESUS NOW
AND PLEASE DO NOT BE SAD.
FOR IN THIS LIFE DOWN HERE BELOW
YOUR THE BEST FRIEND I EVER HAD.

THE HEAVENS DECLARE

Some people never look and see

The miracles in the sky,

The magnificence of a sunrise

Or fleecy clouds drifting by.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

They miss the glory of a sunset,

The lovely rainbow hues

And what could have more splendor

Than a starry night to view.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The heavens declare the glory of God,

And I thank you Lord for eyes to see

All the beauty and the wonder

You placed in the sky for me.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I stand in awe of your presence

As I gaze at the marvels you display

For no human hand could ever form

Such a grand and glorious array.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

No artist’s brush could ever paint

All the beauty that I see.

No poet’s words could ever describe

What that beauty means to me.
