Doris Ragsdale Obituary
She was the daughter of the late, Charlie S. and Alma Mae Frith Lipford.
She was retired from Brown and Williamson after 27 years of service and was also retired from Maxium Medical after 20 years as a caregiver for the elderly.
Mrs. Ragsdale is survived by five children, Jean Newcomb, Donald Williams, Mike Williams, David Ragsdale and Nancy Ragsdale.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, one sister, Lois Lipford Pauly, brother in-law, Mike Pauly, one nephew and two nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, with Pastor Rodney Jenkins officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Va.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.

I had the opportunity to work alongside Doris when Maxim was called Sterile Concepts. She was always one of my favorite people, and I considered her a friend.
She was certainly her own person, but a very respectable, honest, hard working woman. I have and will continue to miss her.
