WISE FAMILY

September 29, 2008

Hello old friend,
Oh yes you know
I lost my child a while ago.
No, no please
Don’t look away
And change the subject
It’s ok.
You see at first I couldn’t feel,
It took so long, but now it’s real.
I hurt so much inside you see
I need to talk,
Come sit with me?
You see, I was numb for so very long,
And people said, My, She is so strong.
They did not know I couldn’t feel,
My broken heart made all unreal.
But then one day, as I awoke
I clutched my chest, began to choke,
Such a scream, such a wail,
Broke from me...
My child! My child!
The horror of reality.
But everyone has moved on, you see,
Everyone except for me.
Now, when I need friends most of all,
Between us there now stands a wall.
My pain is more than they can bear,
When I mention my child,
I see their blank stare.
But I thought you were over it,
Their eyes seem to say,
No, no, I can’t listen to this, not today.
So I smile and pretend, and say, “Oh, I’m ok.
But inside I am crying, as I turn away.
And so my old friend, I shall paint on a smile,
As I have from the start,
You never knowing all the while,
All I’ve just said to you in my heart.

When the mourning comes
preceded by
no advance notice...
no one called
to warn us
and no one even wrote us
to prepare us
for a future
without someone
who we thought
always would be there...
we might not even know them
yet, somehow, we both share...
a life, a love, an interest...
A belief, a country, or a song...
one moment
all was right...
the next
nothing could be
more wrong...

When the mourning comes
it might sneak up on us...
catch us unawares...
make us think
we are alone...
make us think
nobody cares...

Or
it might
just be there--
a wave of emotion
crashing against our soul--
one instant we are half--
we are no longer whole...

What we need
at such a time as this
is more than
just a ray of hope...
more than
just a memory--
a short-lived way to cope...
What we need is faith
that the one we lost
isn't gone--
that their soul is saved
and their life
will continue on...

Until
we, too,
who believe
that
Jesus is the One...
will rise like the Son...
when the mourning comes.

Where the Sun Never Sets
Streams of light, songs of color,
Warmth and love like no other.
All is at peace, my soul is at rest
In this land of love where the sun never sets.

I walk in such peace on streets of pure gold.
No fear, no pain, no flame or cold.
I run and laugh, my God ever near,
With His mighty hand He has dried every tear.

Streams of light, songs of color,
Warmth and love like no other.
All is at peace, my soul is at rest
In this land of love where the sun never sets.

Wisdom and light flood my mind,
No room for doubt; no worry for time.
I sit at the throne and I walk with my God,
As angels bow low with uplifting laud.

Streams of light, songs of color,
Warmth and love like no other.
All is at peace, my soul is at rest
In this land of love where the sun never sets.

My hands pressed together palm to palm,
My eyes looking on darkness praying for the calm.
A raging storm has entered my life,
With crushing waves of painful strife.
I pray, Lord, free me from my doubt,
and let the tide gently roll out.
So I can see the footprints in the sand,
and know that you are holding my hand.

Today God called you home
Extended his arms & opened Heaven’s Door
I never knew emptiness
Nor have I ever cried like this before

I know your one of Heavens Angels
And all I have to do is look above
You're in a happier place now
No pain, no sadness just eternal love.

You’re no longer suffering
Your work on Earth is done
God called you home
A new life in Heaven has begun

But here on Earth
There's a new star in the sky
Shining with your spirit
To keep your memory alive

You’re one of Heaven’s Angels now
You’ll always be with me near or far
And when I need your guidance
Ill look above to that shining star

In my heart
You'll always hold a special place
That no one else
Could ever replace

If only I could have
That shining star again to touch
Just to let you know
I love you so much!

But I don't have to tell you
For you have always known
That you'd be one of Heaven's Angels
For When God calls me home

Every fiber of my being cried out loudly for peace and rest,
But no comfort or solace came for the pain within my breast.
Hopelessness threatened my spirit; my soul felt darkness near,
How could I go on living, how could I live in constant fear?
Doubts and uncertainties began to creep into my daily life
Who could I trust, where was the strength to overcome this strife?
Slowly, I bowed my knees in prayer, to see if God really cared.
Somehow I summoned the courage, my soul to Him I bared.
Oh, Father, I entreated, please hear my tormented plea,
Send me consolation, let the peace you promise come over me.
All at once I felt his great compassion engulf my spirit whole,
His loving arms surrounded me, peace and comfort filled my soul.
Daughter, I haven't forgotten you, I've been waiting for your call,
So that I could assure and bless thee, and ease your heavy pal
I promise you will meet again the son, who left your side,
T'was the purpose of my mission; that's why I suffered and I died.
Do not become discouraged, or let doubt and fear creep in,
Keep on seeking and believing, and restrain yourself from sin.
Cherish the memories you have collected from all the bygone years,
Most of them were happy, many were touched by tears.
Let those treasured memories sustain you, and let them stay a vital part,
To help, comfort and inspire you - to help the healing of your heart.

I know in my spirit as God speaks to me that my spirit is soon to be free.

Shed not one tear for me for I am I long to be.

A more glorious sound there will never be than ten thousand Angels blowing their trumpets to receive me.

Amore Glorious sight never to be seen as I bow before my Lord, falling upon my knees as I look on the glory of God.

I will know that I am home when I see his love shining on me.

The feeling of security and peace I will receive as I embrace my savior on my first day.

I have longed for this so long, so I say again shed not one tear for me for I am were I long to be.

And here I will be waiting till that day I watch as God receives thee as He has received me.

Once I pass away, please don't ruin my memory
By feeling sorry for me...
My beautiful family, I assure you that
I am present with the Lord

While I was still here on this earth,
I made preparations, you see-
I did what it took to see Jesus face to face...
I accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
Of my life

Now . . . I've got a date with Jesus
I'm meeting Him face to face
My, my, my--Lordhammercy...
Heaven is a lovely place and
I'm happy here, because at last,
I made it home to the arms of Jesus

My beautiful family, you don't have to worry
Because now Jesus is taking care of me-
I am safe and secure, because I'm in the
Presence of the Lord...

If anything, you should envy me-
Now that I've passed away, because
My dear family, I am experiencing all
The promises of God...
And sorrow has no place in my heart

My precious family, if you only knew
What lies in store for you-
You would take the time to
Make preparations too

Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
Of your life right now, and just like me-
Once you pass away, you, too, can see Him
Face to face in glory
Amen!

I am looking forward to a brand new day
One so bright and clear
This day I'm looking forward to
I pray is very near

For on this day we'll take our steps
Into a brand new land
A place where our dear loved ones wait
To run and take our hand

They have a precious story to tell
Many wonders they can show
For our King reigns in this new land
And oh I long to go.

Just think, can you just imagine?
The happy moments we will share
They say there are no tears in heaven,
such happiness can we bare?

Think now of the golden streets
Knowing that we shall see
The King of Kings upon His throne
And the angels on bended knees

When pondering this moment ahead
The chills run deep inside
With the vision of our mighty Lord
and a home with Him reside

Why my precious Loving Lord
Would allow me to enter in
Is way beyond my understanding?
My heart is free with Him

That loving grace and merciful Love
Shown deep down in my heart
He called my name, I heard his voice
Right then my sins departs

Oh joyous day we soon shall see
I pray you know my Lord
For until the day he calls our name
Our first steps I'm longing for!

Heaven's Gate

Perhaps the greatest of all miracles of healing
Is when we reach our eternal destination ...
Where the only tears are of those left behind.

May we embrace and comfort each other in our time of loss.
But, may our lasting memory be a Spiritual celebration -
Envisioning our loved one, walking through Heaven's gate.

Were they able to speak today?
I suspect our loved one would say,
"In deepest sympathy ... to those on the other side."

Dancing nervously on the clouds to Heaven,
On our way to be judged,
Knowing we have known Him,
Brings our rejoice of song,
Seeing our way into Heaven,
Through the gates open wide,
With His arms open to the length of the sky,
He invites us inside,
Saying "I love you my children,
You have done well",
With His illuminating smile as bright as the sun,
This is when we'll know our tribulation is done

There's a place with no pain.
A place with no tears.
A place of beauty.
A place of peace.

There's a place with golden streets.
A place with mansions high.
A place with a river running through it.
A place with richness like nothing on Earth.

There's a place with no hunger.
A place with no fear of being alone.
A place of belonging.
A place of pure joy.

There's a place with angels.
A place with a mighty chorus.
A place with laughter.
A place of true delight.

There's a place with a throneroom.
A place with a golden gate.
A place with majesty.
A place where God Himself dwells.

There's a place called Paradise.
A place where I am going.
A place where I hope to see you.
A place of eternal life.

There's a place, I know it is real.
A place that is near at hand.
A place that will always be.
A place I want to take you to.

A place called HEAVEN!
