Jean Lea Obituary

Jean Picardat Lea, 77, of Colonial Heights, died Dec. 6, 2008, peacefully in her home.

She was a devoted wife, mom, granny and aunt. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Randolph Picardat Sr. and Lula Worley Picardat. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Donald Lea Jr., and her brother, Ernest Randolph Picardat Jr. Mrs. Lea attended St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Colonial Heights.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Lea Roudabush and husband, Mark, and Rhonda Lea Patterson and husband, Rick; one grandson, Matthew Roudabush; a brother-in-law, Phil Lea and wife, Shirley; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 501 Old Town Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Crater Community Hospice, 840 W. Roslyn Road, Suite E, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, or to St Michael's Episcopal Church, Memorial Garden Fund, 501 Old Town Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
