Daisy Daniels Obituary

Mrs. Daisy Dell Daniels (Missy), 81, 2307 Trenton St., Hopewell departed this life Monday, Dec. 9, 2008, at her residence.

She was born in Prince George County, and later moved to Hopewell at a young age. She was a faithful Member of Mt. Carmel Baptist until her declining health. Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Daniels; her mother, Daisy M. Rollins; father, Melvin Rollins; sister, Annie M. Rollins; and brothers, Herbert, Willie (Sonny) and Henry Rollins.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, JoAnne Lawson and Monicue Kelly (Paul); a grandson, Daniel Kelly; two sisters-in-law, Eula Rollins and Eva Rollins; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends, among them, Arlene Holloway, Francine Hall, Mollie White, Emily Hicks and Ida Bowles.

A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Hopewell, with the Rev. William Roberts, pastor, officiating. The interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell. The family will receive friends at the residence, phone 541-8455.

Whenever we saw her, she had a smile and love to share with someone she only knew for a few years. It seem like we knew her all of our lives. We knew she loved her family very much because everytime she spike of them, she lite up with joy. She will truly be missed.
