Kenneth Parr Obituary

Kenneth Wade Parr, 61, of Spring Grove died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, in John Randolph Medical Center. He was a life-long resident of this area. Mr. Parr was a member of the Prince George School Board. Mr. Parr began his career in education as a teacher, coach, and administrator in Prince George County. He was a member of the Burrowsville Ruitan Club, the Virginia School Board Association, a member of the Torsten Peterson Chaper of NWTF, member and legislative representative of VA State Chapter of NWTF, past chairman of the "Sportsmen of VA," a member of the Hopewell Moose, The VA. Deer Hunters Association and President of Brandon-Burrowsville Hunt Club and a life long member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon and Elder.

Mr. Parr was preceded in death by his parents, Frank D. and Mable Whitby Parr.

He is survived by his wife; Ann Casey Parr of Spring Grove; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie P. and Keith A. Hagee of Prince George; a son, Ty F. Parr of Richmond; granddaughters, Madison A. and Ashlyn E. Hagee; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald W. Sr. and Paige H. Parr of Hopewell; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be heldat 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ed. Bellis, pastor of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Burrowsville Ruitan Club % R.C. Price, 7815 Chipokes Road, Spring Grove, VA 23881 or to Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, 1201 Blackstone Ave., Hopewell, VA 23860. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com.

Anne, your entire family, Don and Paige,

Although, Anne, I do not know you,

my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

I have known Don and Paige for about 30 years.
