Elizabeth Kofron Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Smith Kofron, 62, of Petersburg, died on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford Lee Smith and Dorothy Ackermann Smith and her brothers, George and Robert Smith.

Betty is survived by her children, Wallace E. Kofron Jr. of St. Augustine, Fla., Clifford L. Kofron of Petersburg, Va., and Deborah K. Guthrie of Mount Pleasant, Tenn.; grandchildren, Ezekiel Kofron, George Kofron, both of Petersburg, Va., and Windell Guthrie and Logan-Lee Guthrie, both of Mount Pleasant, Tenn.; sisters, Sheryl Smith Grosso and her husband, Dr. Jean-Luc Grosso, of Columbia, S.C., and Dr. Teresa Lee Smith of Columbia, S.C.; nephew, Vincent Grosso of Columbia, S.C., and numerous loving cousins and many friends.

A Christian Wake service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with a visitation to follow.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at St. John Catholic Church in Dinwiddie, Va.

Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
