Betty Adams Obituary

Betty Lois Adams, 77, of Petersburg died on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009.

She was a member of West End Baptist Church and a retired school teacher.

She is survived by her husband, the Rev. LeRoy Adams; children, Sheila A. Horton and husband, Lanny, of Culpeper, Va., and Michael L. Adams and wife, Terry, of Budapest, Hungary; grandchildren, Rebecca Clayson, and husband, Nick, Robert Adams and Alexander Adams; brother, the Rev. Charles W. Arrowood and wife, Betty, of Charlotte, N.C.; and sister, Susia Weaver of Gastonia, N.C.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at West End Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Coan Baptist Church in Heathsville, Va., at a later date. The Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family.
