Billy Barber Obituary
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Lewis Barber, and his brother, Joey Barber.
Billy Joe is survived by his mother, Diana B. Barber and husband, Mike; sisters, Angela Garner of South Carolina and Victoria Hott of Chesterfield; aunts, Kathy Norris and Wanda Fogg; uncles, Larry and Gary Birkhead; nephews, Teak and Tyler of South Carolina, and Corey and Nathaniel of Chesterfield; and a niece, Stevie of Richmond.
The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Billy Joe's memory to P.O. Box 1168, Petersburg, VA 23804. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

I would like to take this time to thank my family and friends. I feel so blessed to have each and everyone's sympathy and support. I could not imagine of what may have happened without you all. I have a special place in my heart for everyone who has been by my side through out this very difficult time. I still have a ways to go but thanks to my biggest supporters, I am half way there.
I would like to give special thanks to J.T. Morris and Son's funeral home of Hopewell for their compassion and their wonderful services. Also, a special thanks to Rev. Sherrill Michaels whom officiated the service for my son, Billy Joe Barber (ST. Puppy)
May God bless and be with each and everyone of you. Thank You with all my heart!

who could ever forget those bright blue eyes and that curly blonde hair. He was a beautiful person with a great personality. He could always ease the tesion in a room with his humor. If you didn't laugh and have a good time around him then you just didn't know Billy Joe. He will be greatly missed.

Billy Joe was a great person who over came alot in his life time. I'm thankful I had the pleasure of knowing Billy Joe and his brother Joey. Billy Joe will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Billy was an incredible person, he was always very kind and respectful. At one point he was almost like a son to me. I am saddened by his passing. He will be greatly missed by many.

Its been many years since ive seen Billy and it made me very sad to learn of his passing. He was always a very loving, sweet and kind person. Pretty much everytime I ever saw him I got a hug and a big smile, he always knew how to make you laugh. He will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to everyone who will miss him.

I'm sadded to hear of the loss of Billy. I went to school with Joey for a short time in Prince George,but in that time we all became very close. He will be deeply missed. He and Joey are now watching over their loved ones together. My heart and prayers are with the family at this diffcult time. May GOD bless you and help you thru this.

I just cant believe that you are gone. Yes i didnt know know you but when I was living with you and Aunt Daina we were close!! Im going to miss the hell out of you. I will never ever forget that smile or that voice of yours. I still have that lighter burn on my leg from when i burned you and you got me back :D I know you are watching over everyone now.
