Kyle Smith Obituary

Kyle Allen Smith, beloved grandson of Jack and Frances Atkins, and a senior at Hopewell High School, died suddenly Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at his residence.

Kyle was preceded in death by his mother, Dee Atkins Smith; grandmother Betty Harriso;n and an uncle, Tim Smith.

He is survived by his father, Tony Smith; a sister, Shana Smith and her son, Kullen, and great-grandmother Elaine Bland, all of Pontotoc, Miss.; aunts, Shelley Strosnider and her husband, Craig, Gail Malin and her husband, Ron; uncles, Dirk Atkins, Dan Atkins, Darrell Atkins and his wife, Arlene, Tommy Harrison and his wife, Dana, and Terry Harrison; cousins, Marisa and Madison Strosnider, Mitchell and Michael Malin, Danny and Amanda Atkins, and Ashley Palmer and her husband, Justin; and a girlfriend, Heather Allala.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009, in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be private. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com.

You are the son that I never had and I am going to miss those beautiful blue eyes. Each time I looked at those eyes, I could see my sister in you. We had a special relationship and I will deeply miss you. There has always been a special place in my heart for you and your sister and I only feel better knowing you are with your mom now and are happy. Love you much

I don't know how many times i can say this and i'm sure you already know I LUVD U MORE THAN NETHING!!!! When mom died i know most of you died with her and you guys are together now I just wish I was there...I miss you more than ever and you have a piece of my heart that can never be taken away. I'm sorry I wasn't closer but i wish i would have been. Every single night i see you in my dreams and every time Kulen smiles I'll know it's you. I am so proud of everything you are and everything you accomplished. You were my baby and now you are my ANGEL. I love you and miss you more than anything. I will never ever forget you. You are always guna my big baby brother!!!!
