Ethel Wilkerson

Ethel Wilkerson entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Northern Riverview Health Care Center, Haverstraw, N.Y. She was a native of Crewe, Va., where she was baptized at an early age and attended the public school system.

Her husband, William H. Wilkerson; two daughters, Aldonia Kay Wilkerson Roberts and Dorothy Mae Wilkerson Roberts; and one grandchild, Eldridge MacDonald Roberts, all preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her grandchildren, William Freddie Roberts of Harbortown, N.J.; Gwendolyn Whiting (Samuel) of Richmond, Va.; Rev. Ronald Roberts (Julie) of Petersburg, Va.; Stacy Roberts of Smithfield, N.C.; Tereska Roberts (Lawrence) of Charlottesville, Va.; Robert Roberts Jr. (Anita) of Indianapolis, Ind.; Jennifer Moore (Junius) of Chesterfield, Va.; Darryl Roberts Sr.(Shelia) of Mississippi; Kenneth Roberts (Patricia), of Chesterfield, Va.; Pareta Roberts of Mabletown, Ga.; John Mark Roberts Sr. (Michelle) of Prince George, Va.; great-grandchildren: Vonda Roberts, DeJuan Roberts, Yakysha Street, JaTaun Roberts, Kendra Street, Courtney Roberts, Lyndsy Robinson, April Roberts, Ian Roberts, Cierra Dunston, Darryl Roberts, Jr., Raven Roberts, Michael Roberts, Naisha Roberts, Alex Wilson, Amber Moore, and John Roberts Jr.; great-great-children: Diamond Roberts, Shawn Roberts, Spicely Bland, Marqui Johnson, Invie Williams, Nehemiah Roberts, Ayanna Street, Caileen Roberts, Nicholas Robinson Jr., Ryan Roberts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 13 from the chapel of William N. Bland & Son Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald Roberts, pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church, will officiate.
