Annie Langford-Fullwood Obituary

Ms. Annie Thelma Langford-Fullwood affectionately known as "Pudden" departed this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, Virginia Beach, VA.

She was born in Surry County, VA to the late Rufus and Martha Langford on February 28, 1935. Annie Thelma was educated in the Surry County School System. At an early age she joined Mount Hope A. M. E. Zion Church and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.

She lived in Queens, NY and was employed at Bernard Fineson Hospital as a LPN Nurse and was a very dedicated employee. After retiring she moved back to Petersburg, VA where she attended the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Rosa S. Wynn until her health began to fail her.

She leaves to cherish her memories three sons, Floyd Fullwood (Pat) and Keith Fullwood both of Petersburg, VA and Neil Fullwood of Virginia Beach, VA; three sisters, Gladys Hamlin of Wakefield, VA, Catherine Norton (Oscar) of Washington, DC and Alfreda Langford of Colonial Heights, VA; three grandchildren, Taineka Taylor (Michael), Christopher Shaw and Terrell Fullwood; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Among them a very special friend, Gloria Reese and she also remained friends with her ex-husbands, Franklin Fullwood and Samuel Hilliard.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A. M., Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA. Interment to follow at Blandford Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 475 Pine Ridge Road, Petersburg, VA and may be contact by calling (804)733-2863 or (804)721-4158.
