I just came across this, and remember when I was a very young kid living on McKenzie St in Petersburg VA, when Kenny was playing on the ball field across the street from our house in the early 50s. I met him and he was very kind and very cheerful. I was only 7 or 8 years old. He was fine enough a guy that everybody liked him, and he was expecially kind to this little boy. May he rest in Peace.

Kenny & Debbie,
It was a rare treat to have grown up with your father at the ball fields and old buckroe beach. He was a very special man and he and dad are with the our Lord in glorious celebration. We just learned today at the plant of his passing and send oud love and compassion to you familes. I know his memories will keep you in peace and will and has made our lives a little better for knowing him. God bless you all, Steve Dance and Mom....

Ken was gifted in physique as an athlete, gifted in hand as a musician and gifted in heart with a love for the Lord Jesus and the Kingdom of God. His faith has been among the greatest blessings to me and my wife. I'll miss just knowing that Ken's walking in this world, but I'm so happy for him today. He's where he always wanted to be!

Mary Hunt and all of Ken's family:
Ken was truly a gentleman who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Ken's willingness to share his many talents with so many people must have been very gratifying for him and it brought pleasure to multitudes of people.
Our deepest sympathy to all of you and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Ken Hatcher was our local "Babe Ruth" as we were growing up in the late 40's and early 50's! I am now 75 years old and can still remember collecting many foul balls off his bat and an occasional home run ball when we couldn't get inside the stadium. He was truly "The King Of Swat" to many wannabe baseball playing kids during those great years. May God bless his soul and watch over his family and friends.
