Mary Harrington Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Harrington, 91, of Richmond, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles W. Harrington and Marian Gill Harrington Havens; a brother, Charles William Harrington Jr.; and a sister, Ethel Maxine Partin. Elizabeth graduated from Petersburg High School, and was a devoted and faithful member of Reveille United Methodist Church. She retired from VEPCO after working over 20 years and served at St. Catherine's Girl School for several years.

She is survived by her sister, Alice H. Hogwood; nieces, Carol H. Lunsford and her husband, W. Gene, and their daughter, Laurie, and Susan H. Allen and her husband, John; nephews, Louis C. Partin and his wife, Ann, Jerry W. Partin and Michael Harrington; and several other extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Aseracare Hospice, 8001 Franklin Farms Drive, Richmond, VA 23229-5108. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
