Cousins, you're not alone in feeling the loss of your Dad and my Uncle. I loved Uncle Charlie so much. He was more like a father to me. Although short in stature he was a "gaint" of a man. I looked forward to hearing Grandma read letters that he wrote home while serving in the Army. I will miss talking to him on the phone and visits with him. Continue to love each other, stay together, and prepare to see him again.

Liz and family:
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. He was a very kind-hearted man. I will never forget the family reunion in Denver when I last saw him and he looked very happy to be there. He even gave my grand daughters a little spending money, which they very much appreciated. Charles always sent Christmas cards and I will truly miss receiving them from him. I'm deeply sorry that we were not able to attend the funeral. I know he is in heaven feasting with the angels and I am blessed to have known him. God bless you all.

Dear Family Members of Charles Pulley,
We express our deepest sympathy for the passing of our cousin Charles Pulley. We were out of town earlier this week and attempted to get details on the arrangements after hearing the sad news from our mother Odessa Pulley. My husband and I honor Charles for his strong commitment to keep the family reunions going and to keep family informed about family details. Charles is first cousin to my father, the late Ivory Pulley. My father loved his family dearly. We are deeply saddened that we are unable to attend the funeral and we want the family and friends to know that our spirit and prayers are with you.
Love,
Lorraine & Bruce Charity & Family

Charles Pulley was a very special friend to us. He was always waiting for us to take him places and was so happy to see us. He had a good sense of humor which we will miss. He will always be in our minds, hearts, and prayers. Sundays are going to be very sad to us as we always went to church together and afterwards, had lunch.
May GOD bless you and give you strength to endure such great loss.

I would like to send the Pulley family my deepest condolences. Mr. Pulley is lovingly known as "Grandpa Pulley" to my kids Aaron age 5 & Lauren age 3. Aaron would rarely miss a visit with Grandpa Pulley when he was in Petersburg. Grandpa Pulley will be sadly missed by all of us. I will never forget his surprise visit to my home in New Kent with Mrs. Jackson & Emma Tanner. Aaron & Lauren was excited to see him at our home and of course Grandpa Pulley brought his camera along and we took lots of pictures. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Pulley family. My God continue to bless you all and may you find comfort in the loving memories of your father and grandfather.

Somehow the words are not expressing how we felt when we read the notice in the paper. This is a loss of a man who has been a neighbor and friend and like a brother to my father. As I pray for you, please pray for my father Willie Bruce (404), as he deals with his loss as well. May the Lord's blessings be upon you now and always.
