I had the opportunity to listen to the Sisters on Sunday, October 12th when they were here in New Orleans for the concert at St. Louis Catherdral. It was from their instruments to God's ear!
What an afternoon to remember. My sympathy to her Family and Religious Sisters she leaves behind.

We have been so blessed to know Sr. Mary Margaret. She was always so generous in sharing herself and her gift of music with us Secular Carmelites. I am so pleased she had an opportunity to develop her music even more deeply before joining the celestial choir. My sympathy to her family and our beloved Carmelite sisters.

Mary, my cousin Sandy and I used to play together and spend a week every summer in Midland at Uncle Cecil and Aunt Ilah's. Even as a child, Mary would smile at the down and out because she thought that it might make their day better if someone smiled at them. I know that Mary's sisters at the Carmel are rejoicing because they know that Mary is in God's arms with her mom and dad and her beloved Carmelite sisters who have gone before her.

My deepest condolences to the Sisters in the Barrington Carmel, the Reno Carmel and the Yascolt family. I always delighted in Sr. Mary Margaret's gifts of music and her laughter. She now knows the One whom she served so faithfullly face to face!

I was saddened to learn of the unexpected death of Sister Mary Yascolt. As a Carmelite and musician she "sang of the mercies of the Lord" and her voice continues to reverberate as she sees the face of the Lord she served so well. My deepest sympathy to the Sisters in Barrington and Reno and her family.

Mary was a great friend. As her godson I felt like the luckiest person in the world. She will be missed. She made the world a much happier place.
