Lisa touched the heart and souls of many people. She worried only about her children and husband. I tried to reassure her that she will never be forgotten in their hearts and will always remember her as a loving, giving person. She had an infectious smile and was quick-witted. She said it like it was and was passionate about her family. I told her that I would share her story about ovarian cancer with every woman in my family and all of my female friends. She will be remembered always.

Lisa's Family:

Lisa and I were childhood friends. She lived a few doors down the street from me. I have so many wonderful memories of all the fun times we had together. My high school years would certainly have been dull without her in them! I can't begin to imagine the loss you are experiencing and my heart aches for all of you. I truly regret that we lost touch and never reconnected. I missed out on her wonderful life. From reading her blog, she was an amazing woman. Peace to you all.

I am a lurker on Lisa's blog. Never have responded . . . never commented. I have checked in daily on Lisa's blog. I found Lisa enchanting. Lisa was absolutely honest, clever and loving. She was as most mothers are. Worried about her children and husband. She was worried about if her girls would remember her on their wedding day . . . I certainly hope so. I do not suffer from cancer . . . however, I do feel her pain . . . please. Lisa was an ordinary woman, with cancer . . . with children . . . with a husband. Lisa was clever . . . gosh so so very smart and witty . . . she was a MOTHER and a WIFE that wanted to be remembered . . . to matter. I know she will be . . . remembered . . . she was so just Lisa . . . wonderful Lisa . . . sweet Lisa . . . honest Lisa . . . person . . . Lisa. . . mother Lisa . . . wife Lisa. . . . we remember you so sweetly Lisa . . . . Thank you, Lisa for being you. . . . you were compeletly understood, not understood . . . you. . .

What is required to be a friend? I think, that it's sharing one's hopes and dreams, their soul with another. Lisa made friends with so many, and so many made friends with her. I, for one, feel honored to have known her, and called her a friend, if only through her hopes, dreams and writing. I felt so honored to receive email from her. Lisa has been an inspiration to so many people, and we have been blessed to have her in our lives. I will miss her words, I will miss her.
