Audrey Stein Obituary
Mrs. Audrey Stein of Littleton, CO, a former resident of Port Jervis, NY, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the home of her daughter, Arlene in Littleton, CO. She was 85.
She was born December 22, 1922 in New York City, NY, the daughter of the late Dr. Abraham and Helene Grubman Orenstein. She was married to Dr. Nathan Stein on May 19, 1946 in New York City. They were married for 57 years until his death on June 13, 2003.
Audrey worked as an Investment Broker for Merrill Lynch, J.B. Hanauer and Hanauer Stearn. Audrey was a member of Temple Beth-El, Port Jervis and Lifetime Hadassah member in Port Jervis.
A family statement reads: "Audrey was a very loving mother and grandmother and will be sorely missed by her children and grandchildren."
She is survived by her son, Robert A. Stein of Littleton, CO; daughter, Sheryl Stein and her husband, Moshe Ratson of New York City, NY; daughter, Arlene Stein and her husband, Dr. Robert Ginsburg of Littleton, CO; grandchildren: Adam Ginsburg, Samantha Ginsburg, Zachary Ginsburg, and Lee Ratson; sister-in-law, Ruth Sohn and her husband, Al of Anaheim, CA; dear friends, Elva Lenhart of Thornton, CO and Ron Dukes of Westminster, CO, also nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Orenstein.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, at 12 noon at the Beth-El Cemetery, North Orange St., Port Jervis, NY.
