Judith Sorrentino Obituary

Monroe, NY

Judith M. Sorrentino, a housewife and 35-year area resident, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Arden Hill Campus in Goshen. She was 66.

The daughter of the late Charles Jennings and Helen Donovan Jennings, she was born October 11, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY.

She was the retired owner of Hair's Judy in Chester and a member of St. Anastasia Church in Harriman.

A family statement reads: "She was a loving Wife, Mother, Nana, Gigi and best friend who will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank Dr. Bezdicek and the nurses in the C.C.U."

Survivors include her husband, Ciro Sorrentino of Monroe; sons, Gerard Sorrentino and his wife, Maria of Chester, John Sorrentino and his wife, Susan of Monroe, and Dr. Stephen Sorrentino and his wife, Jennifer of Clifton Park; daughter, Donna Sorrentino of Chester; brother, Charles Jennings, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth of Port Washington; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, at St. Anastasia Shrine Church, 21 North Main St., Harriman. Interment will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
