Catherine Fendt Obituary

Warwick, NY

Catherine "Kate" Fendt of Warwick, NY, died June 21, 2008 at Schervier Pavilion after a long illness. She was 82 years old.

Born on August 3, 1925 in Paterson, NJ, she was the daughter of Rudolph Gustav Lau and Catherine Agnes Bowling. She was married to the late Frederick William Fendt.

She resided in Wayne, NJ for much of her life, and has resided in Warwick, NY for 25 years.

Kate's favorite pastime was reading and she loved being outdoors. She was involved with the Warwick Valley Senior Citizens and enjoyed the trips and dinners they had.

She is survived by her sister, Marge Stahnke of Grants Pass, OR; her children: Dan Fendt and his wife, Kathy of Sparta, NJ, Art Fendt and his wife, Margi of Sewell, NJ, and Fred Fendt of Deland, FL; two granddaughters, Martha Jane and Claire Fendt, and several cousins. She is also survived by her very dearest friend of 25 years, Ruth Vanstrander of Warwick, NY.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 50 South Street, Warwick, NY 10990.
