Phyllis Creagan Obituary

New Windsor, NY

Phyllis Creagan, 87, of New Windsor, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at her home.

Born July 12, 1920 in Gladstone, MI, she was the widow of James Creagan.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in New Windsor, NY, and also a longtime volunteer at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Cornwall Campus. She was retired from Children's Village, Dobbs Ferry, NY, and also from Genovese Drugs in Ardsley, NY.

Phyllis was a devoted mother and grandmother who rarely missed attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

She was able to stay at home for the past five years due to the help of her loving caregivers, Cathy and Ann.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Creagan and his wife, Carol of University Heights, OH, and Daniel O. Creagan and his wife, Barbara of Cornwall, NY; daughter, Patricia A. Cody and her husband, Robert of Cornwall, NY; grandchildren: Kelly Robinson, Kristine Syrvalin, Michael Creagan Jr., Jim and Maureen Creagan, Patrick and Kyle Cody, and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert J. Ogden, and sisters: Marguerite Cook, Marian Bailey, Ruth Miller and Helen E. Simpson (Burden).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the James F. Lulves Funeral Home, 9 Avenue A., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 25, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 4 St. Joseph's Place, New Windsor, NY. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
