Robert Stevens Obituary
Robert L. Stevens Sr., a longtime Newburgh resident and retired data processing Manager from Poughkeepsie Savings Bank, died Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at home. He was 74.
He was born to the late Alonzo and Sarah McNeil Stevens on August 19, 1933 in Newburgh, NY.
Robert was a handy man who loved to watch Nascar races and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, where he received a National Defense Service Medal and a Medal of Good Conduct.
He is survived by his beloved children, Robert L. Stevens, Jr. and his wife, AnnMarie of Newburgh and Linda K. Stevens Nall of Clarksville, TN. Also, four cherished grandchildren, J.P. Stanley of Clarksville, TN, Jacquelynn Stanley of Bronx, NY and Natalie & Eric Stevens, both of Newburgh; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Alysia, Ashley, Cyann and Camryn and two siblings, Donald Stevens and his wife, Marion of Houston, TX and Elizabeth Thorne of Newburgh.
The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday, June 25 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Coloni Funeral Home, 3001 Rt. 9W, New Windsor, NY 12553.
A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Robert's name to the Alzheimer's Assoc. NY Chapter 2 Jefferson Plaza, Ste. 203 Poughkeepsie, NY 12601-4027.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Coloni F.H.; 845-561-0238.

My condolences to Bob's family. I am sorry I could not attend his services. I worked with Bob at Poughkeepsie Savings Bank. Not only was he a pleasure to work with but he was a good friend. I will miss him.
