Formerly of Middletown, NY

Mrs. Emma Craig of Shelby, MI and formerly of Middletown, NY died Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in Shelby, MI. She was 92.

She was born January 21, 1916 in Edenville, NY the daughter of the late Philip and Amelia Daubrt Schmick. She was married to the late George K. Craig who died September 8, 2002. Emma worked at the Middletown State Hospital.

She is survived by her son, James Monahan and his companion, Dorothy of Howells, NY; a daughter, Dolores Bierlein and her husband, Lee of Sterling Heights, MI; three sisters: Patricia Wilson of Otisville, NY, Rose Kerr of NC, and Mary Lou Charles of New Hampton, NY; sister-in-law, Joyce Schmick, PA; four grandchildren: Patricia Nunn, Richard Bierlein, Leslie Bierlein, Lee Cooper; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held private at the convenience of the family. Burial of cremains will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
