Ollie Lipscomb Obituary

Newburgh, NY

Ollie Lipscomb a life long resident of Newburgh, NY, passed this life into eternity on Monday, July 7, 2008 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. He was 65.

Ollie was the son of the late James and Minnie B. Lipscomb, he was born May 6, 1943 in Caswell County, NC. He attended the Newburgh schools, graduating from Newburgh Free Academy.

He was predeceased by his father, James and mother, Minnie B. Lipscomb, brother, James (Arthur), and grandmother, May Williams. Ollie leaves to mourn his companion, wife, and friend of forty years, Deborah Ann Lipscomb at home; three sons, Prophet Corey Donnell of Brooklyn, NY, Orlando Jay of CA, Lorenzo Lemarr of Rockford, IL; one daughter, Veronica Lee of Rockford, IL; two sisters, Minnie McClenton and Edith Fina, both of Newburgh; one brother, Ralph Lipscomb (Bernice) of Fayetteville, NC; one uncle, Leroy Williams of Newburgh; two nieces, Lynette Thomas and Danielle Lipscomb, both of Newburgh; two nephews, Joseph Lipscomb of Newburgh and Larry Lipscomb of Severn, MD; a very special mother-in-law, Minister Willie Mae King, and a host of relatives and friends.

Viewing will be Monday, July 14, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon and services will be at 12 noon at Holy Temple Church, 179 South St., Newburgh, NY, with the Rev. Jerrelle Benoix officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
