Evelyn DeSane Obituary

Formerly of Sullivan County

Evelyn Alice DeSane, 90, of Port Charlotte, FL and formerly of Sullivan County, a retired Waitress, died July 9, 2008 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY.

The daughter of Walter and Pauline Reynolds Munday, she was born December 30, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the widow of the late Joseph DeSane and the late Thomas Halloran.

Evelyn was a member of the Senior Friends in Port Charlotte, FL.

Survivors include son, Thomas Halloran and wife, Caroline of Poughkeepsie; Maureen Schlott and husband, Raymond of Callicoon Center; Kathleen Halloran of Venice, FL; Joyce Halloran and husband, Karl Mantenieks of Narrowsburg; Sharon Mungeer and husband, Garfield of Parksville; a stepson, Genaro DeSane of Asbury Park, NJ; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren; cousin, Jane Fulton of Kenoza Lake; a niece, Sharon Fix and nephew, Mark Fix, out of state.

She was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph DeSane and Thomas Halloran and two brothers, Clinton Munday and Edward Fix.

Friends may call Sunday, July 13 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, NY. Services will be held Sunday, July 13, at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Kenoza Lake Cemetery, Kenoza Lake, NY.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Evelyn's memory to the charity of your choice.
