Jerry Broskin Obituary

Rock Hill, NY

Jerry Broskin entered into eternal peace on July 5, 2008 with his family by his side.

A statement by the family reads "Poppy's life was his family."

Jerry was employed at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Homes Inc. as manager and director for 45 years. He was an active member of the community, and an avid sportsman, he was involved with many organizations among them was the Monticello Fire Department, Rotary International, and the White tail and Ace Hunting Clubs. Jerry was also a certified private pilot for 30 years and a member of the Flying Funeral Directors of America. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a combat veteran of the Korean War.

A truly devoted husband and father he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou at home in Rock Hill; a daughter Cynthia Kesten, her husband, Robert and their children, Seth and Rachel of Lake Worth, FL; a son, Gerald A. Broskin, his wife, Nellie and their children, Patricia, Maria, Casey, and Alan; as well as two great-grandchildren, Chase and Jenna.

A private memorial service was held by the family, donations may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh N.Y. 12550.
