Rosemarie Di Bona Obituary

Marlboro, NY

Rosemarie Di Bona entered into rest on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 81.

A 49-year resident of Marlboro, NY, she was formerly of Brooklyn, NY. On November 29, 1926, she was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Louis and Camille Zafarese Prinzi.

Rosemarie was the top saleswoman during her many years of employment at Kassel Brothers clothing store in Newburgh, NY.

Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Frank, at home; one daughter, Diane McLaughlin and her husband, James of Marlboro, NY; two sons, Paul Di Bona and his wife, Nancy of Union, NJ and Louis Di Bona and his wife, Margaret of Edison, NJ; four grandchildren: Michelle McLaughlin Pomarico and her husband, Michael, Frank McLaughlin, Courtney Di Bona and Adam Di Bona; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Frank Prinzi.

Family members acknowledge with appreciation James McLaughlin, Rosemarie's son-in-law, for his being the primary care giver during her illness.

There will be a private visitation for family members.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 16, at 11 a.m. for family and friends in St. Mary's Church, Marlboro, NY, with the Rev. Edward Bader, celebrant.

Cremation will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY, and will be private at the convenience of the family.

Rosemarie was the most graceful woman I ever knew. She lit a room with her beauty when she entered it. She taught me so much about life, being a woman and being a compassionate human being. She will be greatly missed.
