Madeline Brennan-Roarke Obituary

Monroe, NY

Madeline M. Brennan-Roarke, a 50-year area resident, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. She was 77.

The daughter of the late Sam Butorovich and Naida Rakela Butorovich, she was born on June 30, 1931 in New York, NY. She was the widow of Robert V. Brennan and William Roarke.

Madeline was a retired bookkeeper for Ewen Parker X-Ray Corporation in Elmsford. She was a member of the Monroe Senior Center and a former member of the Monroe Women's Bowling League for many years.

Survivors include her sons, Robert V. Brennan & his wife, Roberta of Cornwall-on-Hudson and Peter J. Brennan & his companion, Carol of Monroe; daughter, Margaret N. Tomlins & her husband, Mark of Marlboro; brother, Peter Butorovich of Cary, NC; two grandchildren, Jeffrey J. Brennan and Timothy J. Brennan; nieces and nephews and many close friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 27 from 3-7 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Avenue, Monroe.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 28 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Still Road, Monroe. Interment will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Wisner Professional Building, 419 East Main Street, Middletown, New York 10940.

Peter, Bobby & Maggie - I was deeply saddened to hear of your mom's passing. While she was with us, "Mad" was an amazing lady with a truly loving spirit.
