Celeste Cornelius Obituary
Celeste E. Cornelius of Arden, NY passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at the age of 59.
Celeste was born June 22, 1949 in Tuxedo, NY, to Angelo and Gilda Mottola.
Celeste was employed by the Tuxedo Union Free School District. Celeste was loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, she was a woman of great strength, and through all things she put her family first, she will be missed greatly by all.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Laurie and her husband, Kenneth, Melissa and her husband, Anthony Kurtz; and one son, Michael (The Light of her Life), one grandchild, Olivia Celestine (Nana's Girl); her mother, Gilda Mottola; and two brothers, John and Mark survive her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 16, at 10 a.m. at ST. Joan of Arc Church in Sloatsburg. Burial will follow at ST. Anastasia Cemetery in Harriman, NY,
Friends and relatives are invited on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Scarr Funeral Home, Inc., Route 202 Suffern.

Mrs Mottola was my 5th grade teacher at Airmont School. I remember her smile and beautiful demeanor. I don't ever remember seeing her sad. The good Lord took her way too soon. God bless my favorite teacher.
