Florence Burge Obituary

Formerly of New Windsor & Rhinebeck, NY

Florence L. Burge, a wonderful homemaker & former area resident, died on Monday, August 18, 2008 at the N.Y. State Veterans Home in Montrose, NY. She was 90.

She was born to the late Leo and Anna Diener Mischke on April 25, 1918 in the Bronx, NY. Florence was the widow of Henry D. Burge, who died in 1993.

She is survived by her loving children, Carolyn Thorn and her husband, John of New Windsor, Susanne Purcell and her husband, John of New Milford, CT and Christopher Burge of Springfield, VT; one sister, Muriel Lawson and her husband, Robert of Vero Beach, FL, also seven grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday, August 23 & Sunday, August 24 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Coloni Funeral Home, 3001 Rt. 9W, New Windsor, NY 12553.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 25 at 11 a.m. at the Good Shepard Church in Rhinebeck, NY. Interment will follow at the Rhinebeck Cemetery.
