Woodridge, NY
Alton Junior Carr (Ben), a longtime resident of Woodridge, NY, departed this life on Tuesday, August 19, 2008.
Alton was born on June 18, 1955 in Wallace, NC. He was employed as a butcher for over 25 years. Places of employment included Stollman's Fish Market in Monticello, NY and a local area fishery in Ellenville, NY.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Annie and Juan Sanabria of Woodridge, NY; four sisters, Brenda Green and her husband, Rev. Larry of Rocky Point, NC, Gloria Sanabria of Florence, SC, Cassandra Patton and her husband, Oscar of Middletown, NY and Yoranda Sanabria of Florence, SC; two brothers, Juan "Tony" Sanabria, Jr. and Gary Sanabria of Woodridge, NY and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His grandparents, Levi and Mary Carr of Wallace, NC predeceased him.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 23 at the Little Grove Holiness Church, Highland Avenue, Woodridge, NY 12789 at 4 p.m. Bishop Thomas Ward, Sr. and Pastor Ledell Carr will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Woodbourne Cemetery, Woodbourne, NY.
