Marilyn Martucci Obituary

Westtown, NY

Marilyn Gertrude Martucci of Westtown, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Schervier Pavilion, Warwick. She was 82.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian Ludin Pernot, she was born September 26, 1925 in New York City.

Mrs. Martucci was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Island for 41 years, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and treasurer, Member and Past President of the Ladies Aid as well as a member of the Altar Guild.

She was the beloved wife of Ralph Martucci Sr., whom she married on November 11, 1950 at Advent Lutheran Church in New York City.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Ralph Martucci, Sr., at home in Westtown; daughter, Pamela Giraud and her husband, William of Wallkill; two sons, Ralph Martucci Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Middletown and Lance Martucci of Westtown; seven grandchildren: Jason Thompson of Newburgh, Brock Thompson of Monroe, Rachael Martucci-Quick and husband, Logan of Montgomery, R.J. Martucci and fiancée, Kera of Virginia, Michael Martucci of Westtown, Michelle Martucci of Westtown, and William M. Giraud and wife, Carolyn of Tuxedo; three great-grandchildren: Charles E. Quick of Montgomery, Mikayla and Amelia Giraud of Tuxedo; niece, Jean Bredin and nephews, Carl Martucci, Ralph and Paul Decker.

Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, August 24, from 6-9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Rte #1, Pine Island, NY 10969.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 25, at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 95 Kings Hwy., Warwick, NY 10990, with the Rev. Kenneth Susskraut and the Rev. Peter Rustico officiating. Interment will be in the Warwick Cemetery, Warwick.

The family would like to thank the dedicated staff and caregivers at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick, and the staff at Hospice of Orange County for the compassionate and loving care given to Marilyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Schervier Pavilion, 22 VanDuzer Pl., Warwick, NY 10990 or Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550.

Ralph and Family,

We are truly sorry for your loss. We are so glad that we got to visit with you last fall. We are sure there is a special place for Marilyn in Heaven. We certainly have a lot of GREAT memories of the "crazy" times that we all had together.
