Patricia Corrado Obituary
Patricia "Pat" Corrado of Newburgh, entered into rest on Monday, September 1, 2008 in Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was 73.
Daughter of the late Grover and Margaret Murphy Anderson, she was born August 14, 1935 in West Point. She was married to the late Benjamin Corrado.
"Mom was a fighter whose strength of spirit and determination allowed her to battle through the toughest of life's challenges. She was an avid sports fan and joyously followed the efforts of her husband, children, grandchildren and of course her beloved Yankees and Giants. Her beautiful hand tilled garden brightened the whole neighborhood. Her warm heart and gentle, good humor will be sadly missed by all who came in contact with her."
Survivors include her loving children, Joseph, Donald and his wife, Liz, and Benjamin, all of Newburgh, Michael of Wallkill, and Diane Holbert and her husband, Greg of Walden; brothers, Hilliard "Bud" and his wife, Barbara, Gerald "Corkey", Donald and his wife, Ernestine, and Howard Anderson, all of Newburgh; sister, Judy Case of Newburgh; grandchildren, Marc, Michael and Alexander Corrado, James Holbert and Julianne Holbert; Marc's mother, Diane Corrado, Michael and Alexander's mother, Rosemary Corrado; special friend, Rose Etri; aunts, Betty Soltich, Louise and Maryann Murphy, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters-in-law, June, Marcia and Joan Anderson and brother-in-law, Stephen Case.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 5, in St. Mary's Church, Newburgh. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 419 E. Main St., Middletown, NY 10940.

I was deeply saddened to hear of your mom's passing. Keep her close with all the great memories of the past. I will always remember her the most from our times at ETC which is where I remember your dad the most from also. Now they are both looking down & keeping watch on you together again. To Joe, Don, Benny, and the Corrado Family,
I was so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Know that she is in a better place, free of pain. I can't tell you how many times we smiled and waved to each other with her coming and going from the neighborhood, probably a thousand times. She will be deeply missed. I will keep you all in my prayers.

To the Corrado family,
None of you know me personally, however, I have been doing your moms hair for the past 7 years. She always had kind words to say about her family. She loved to "brag" about all her grandkids accomplishments in sports and accademics. Everyone at True Nature Hair Design will miss seeing her every month.

I am very sorry to hear of Patti's death. She was always very special to me when I was a part of this family. Her stories of her kids that she would tell when we would visit would keep me laughing and she was always so much fun to be around. I will always remember her plate collection, HER Giants and the dogs :) Although I have not been to newburgh in over 9 years now, the family is still dear to my heart. Please find comfort in knowing that she is with our Lord and that my Tracey was there when she entered heaven. Please pass my sympathies to all of the Corrados.

Diane and Family,
I was saddened to see that your Mom is no longer here with us. I believe that she is in a much better place and that whatever her struggles were, she had a wonderful, supportive and loving family by her side. I will always think fondly of her and her constant companionship while we were cheerleaders at NFA. Diane, we have many great memories together and you are in my heart, thoughts and prayers. Benny,Joe,Don and Family, I am sorry for the loss of Patricia Corrado. Take comfort in knowing that she is now resting in peace in a much better place. She will be surely missed and you have many many years of great memories to remember her. Unfortunately I will not be able to attend any of the services (due to complications from recent back surgery) but my thoughts and prayers are with you all in your time of need.
