To Tara and all the Gallagher's. I've always admired your family and the closeness you all shared. I'm sorry for the loss of your Dad. I know he will not be forgotten. I'll forever remember his friendly, kind nature and the support he showed at our athletic events in High School. Your home in Otisville was like a second home to a lot of us and your Dad and Mom were at the center of its warm, and welcoming feel.
Hugs to all of you.

To Keith & All The Gallaghers:
I was very sorry to hear about the passing of the patriarch of the Gallaghers. When I read the condolences of your old friends like Maureen Hallahan, it is hard not to get a little "choked up," but when I think of your Dad, it is always with a smile. Despite the many difficulties he encountered in this life, "Schemes" always sought to "walk on the sunny side of the street." His relentless optimism and boundless enthusiasm for his family - which I was fortunate enough to experience as part of a Jasper Generation whose hearts he touched in many ways - were and are inspirational. He was a great man - in so many little ways that matter more as we get older. I am proud and grateful to have known him, and I trust that he is now in an even better place to keep working on those "projects" for all of us.
"Requiescat En Pace."

To Keith & the Gallagher family, I was sure sorry to hear of your loss. After reading Bart's obituary I see a life well lived. What a work & family history to be proud of. It is obvious that his family was most important and I hope you all can find comfort in that fact. Love, Rudy

Kevin, Tara, Matt, and the entire Gallagher family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your father, and to you, Mrs. Gallagher, the loss of your husband. The closeness that your family maintains is beautiful, and is a true sign of the wonderful father and husband that Bart was. I have attached a poem called, "Safely Home". I hope that you all may find comfort in the beautiful memories that you have to share.
"Safely Home"
I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is a perfect job and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt for dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth -
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
This poem was given to me when my mother passed away. God bless you all.

To the entire Gallagher family, especially Mrs. Gallagher,
When I think of the Gallagher homestead, the first thing that comes to my mind is the term "Open House". In high school, the Gallagher name was synonymous with "athlete, leadership, and friendship." At one point in time there must have been a Gallagher in just about every grade at Minisink, thus qualifying you as the "First Family of MVCS".
As patriarch of this wonderful clan, Mr. Gallagher will be remembered as a dedicated father whose family always came first. Mrs. Gallagher, because of the lessons that you taught your children, by word and example, they have made our community a better place.
I can picture St. Pete at the pearly gates right now saying "OKAY! Enough about the kids....you're in!"
God bless you all. With love and friendship,
Maureen and family

Keith, Kevin, and family,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you all. You're Dad was a good man who was always there for his family as I saw at the many events he attended. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's normal routines, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends and always remember the "Good Times".
