Constance Galberd Obituary

Central Valley, NY

Constance G. Galberd, a 48-year area resident, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Cornwall Campus. She was 80.

The daughter of the late Robert Maurer and Sadie Weber Maurer, she was born June 11, 1928 in New York, NY.

She was a retired Registered Nurse at Cornwall Hospital in Cornwall, NY. She was a member of the Woodbury Community Ambulance Corps and a member and Trustee of the Woodbury Historical Society.

Survivors include her husband, Herman Galberd of Central Valley; sons, Robert B. Galberd and his wife, Jackie of Lodi, NY, and Larry A. Galberd and his wife, Debbie of Johns Creek, GA; daughter, Helen R. Bopp of Clifton Park, NY; four grandchildren: Zachary A. Galberd, Emily R. Galberd, Sarah E. Bopp and Amy L. Bopp.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 29, at 11 a.m. in Cemetery of the Highlands in Highland Mills, NY. Rabbi Garry A. Loeb will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Woodbury Historical Society Scholarship Fund, PO Box 30, Highland Mills, NY 10930.
