Brunhilde Shaw Obituary
Brunhilde B. "Hilde" Shaw of New Windsor, NY, entered into rest on Friday, September 26, 2008, at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh, NY. She was 73.
Daughter of the late Berhard and Berta Bechtel, she was born August 15, 1935 in Germany. She was married to Douglas G. Shaw, who predeceased her.
"Our mother will be greatly missed. We find peace that she is in a better place where there will be no more suffering. We will always carry her unconditional love and warm smile close to our hearts."
She is survived by her loving companion, Lewis Seymour; loving children: Douglas B. Shaw Sr. and his wife, Catherine, Donna Rodriguez, Doris Thompson and her husband, Roland; grandchildren: Louisa, Lisa, Douglas Jr., Roland, Jason, Emily, Anthony, Matthew, Michael; great-granddaughter, Cora Jean Rivera, and niece, Betty Barger. She was predeceased by her sisters, Rosemarie and Ruth.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 1, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Hilde's memory may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, 1 Sunrise Dr., Newburgh, NY 12550.
